We made it through our busy, crunch time! The Gallery Show is up, many sales, so far it is a wonderful show! If you have sold a painting, please replace the work. The Tree is decked with your awesome creations – all is well, with our world!
Nov. 8th, we had Christmas Open House, the results so different from last year! Last year, we were lonely, but enjoying the company of friends and grazing on tasty snacks. This year we were a hit! Visitors and customers were abundant, we sold almost $1000 worth, of your art! People were from everywhere, including Paducah! Thanks to Paula Trojahn for playing the Dulcimer, to Carol Hudson, Linda Thomasson, and Martha Brown for providing tasty snacks, and for Liz and Jenny stepping in to wrap a few pieces. It was a very good day!
Nov. 15th we began our $10 Mini Fundraiser. There was no stampede, but a steady crowd of shoppers. We sold around 147 minis, ornaments, and work from the Gallery Show! Thanks, to our super cashier, Rebecca Mueller-Williams, Paula Trojahn, Liz and Jenny, for all they did welcoming, counting, and wrapping the sales. Thanks, to you, that donated minis, to make all this possible! If you are so inspired, you may continue to donate, as the sale will continue until Dec. 13th.
Next meeting, Nov 25th, 7:00 at the Gallery. The program will be given by Suzanne Alexander, one of our fantastic Webmasters. An avid quilter and artist, the program will be Painting with Fabric, continuing our Color Series.
The Challenge is Painting of Hot Air Balloon. If you are looking ahead, the next Challenge (January) will be Painting of Glass Bottles in the Light. Thanks, to Billie D. Shoemate, for this thought-provoking show! He had so many compliments! Featured in Dec. and Jan. will be the Tuesday Painting Group, filling in for the scheduled artist. Many thanks, to each of them! The theme will be Winter.
