April in Paducah brings lots of colorful blooms, sunshine and of course, quilts! Our challenge this month was to paint something yellow but PAPA artist Susan Edwards covered it all in her painting, “Sunshine Over Paducah.” Her bright and cheery sunflower contains patchwork and embroidery elements surrounded by tools of the trade. The monthly Challenge Wall presents a wide variety of yellow subjects including flowers, insects, and surfboards to name only a few. If yellow is your color or you want something cheery to brighten a drab spot, look no further than our exhibit during the month of April. You’ll also find a special selection of paintings and other items to celebrate the art of quilting.
