As a freshman in HS, I took an Art History class followed by an Art class. I remember one forgettable still life! When I was 19, I had the opportunity to visit a formal flower garden in Europe, there was one area I had my husband take a picture of. I have attempted to paint it several times. Watercolor and acrylic I felt I just missed the mark each time. Through the years I’ve painted craft projects, decorated cakes, and dabbled in many areas.

In 2022 I was looking to try something new and found an online painting class that sounded intriguing. The online class used Water Mixable Oil paint. It paints like oil but cleans up with water, the best of both mediums.

I am not always comfortable with the title Artist. I believe in not being afraid to try and to always continue to learn, it feels more like a lifetime journey. I still have failures, but I also have something I am willing to share with others. I did not set out to become an Artist, but maybe I am becoming one.
