Creativity has a mind of its own and our featured artist this month is open to more creative possibilities than most. It comes as no surprise that Jean Lorrah said “yes!” to trying a new technique and then made something beautiful from the experience. Her painting, “My Heart’s in the Highlands” like all the other works in this exhibit, has an interesting story to tell. She gives us a dreamy landscape evocative of Scottish highlands with only enough color and shape to set the stage for our imagination to freely explore.
Each of the paintings in this special exhibit provides another peek into her creative process with the story of how it became a painting in the first place. It turns out, she’s quite the storyteller and will leave you with lots to consider. Come by this month to learn the fascinating stories Jean has to show and tell. While you’re here, check out the new works in our Autumn show and enjoy some art with us!
