Well, it is spring, many traditions surround us, as we go about the rituals of planting tomatoes, eradicating unwanted weeds, planting flowers, and yes…war with rabbits! At this time…rabbits are winning, but I am determined to succeed, this year!!!

Change has been happening, at the Gallery! We have WiFi and a new Credit Card Machine. The code for accessing our Safety Secured WiFi is in the front of the Gallery Show Book and on the Bulletin Board in the back. Our ancient Credit Card Machine, replaced and also a new Server. I am trying to visit and introduce you to the process, but not always possible to be there. Simple instructions are right there, making the process easy! To offset our expenses, the machine calculates about 3 per cent automatically included. Signage is posted, for our customers. Please call, if you ever have a question.

We have been so honored to be invited by the City to have a Summer Show at City Hall! This is open to all members, your paintings do not have to be for sale. Please bring your work to the Gallery by May 27th, fill out the Entry Form, place the work in the designated spot. Cindy has created a QRCode that will be on your label for the painting….we have an Online Store! If your painting is sold, it will be available for pick up at the Gallery at the end of the show! If possible, take a picture of your work, email to cindy@teaksouls.com.

We will have a Meet the Artist Reception, City Hall, Thursday June 5th, 5:00-7:00! Invite your family, friends, patrons, just everyone to celebrate with us! Paula Trojahn, will play the Dulcimer, Ryan Robertson, Diane Bay, and Chad McLaren will be painting, and Jenny and Liz are organizing refreshments…. It will be a fun event! Cindy also created an amazing poster, being used in Social Media, Tourism and other ways inviting guests. Please be there!

Our next meeting is May 27th, 7:00, at the Gallery. Diane has invited Michael Patrick Bailey to present our Program. A Specialist in Narritive Illustration, Michael will demo and talk about his process. He will also bring other paintings. Look at his Website…just amazing!

Thank you, Ryan Robertson, for your Featured Artist Show…so many favorable comments! Grady will be Featured in June. The Challenge is “Painting of a Skyline”. In June, “Painting of Water”. Refreshments provided by Ellen Hunt, Marley and Marcia Duncan.

One more thing about the City Hall Show…review the guidelines, paintings no wider than 36”, no heavier than 45 lbs. and family friendly!

Especially in the busy times, thank you, for all you do for PAPA!
