Spring planting time is here! I’m usually whining to you about the rabbits eating my flowers, but this year, no bunnies! Kind of bittersweet, now I am wondering what is in the woods that eats bunnies!! Teenage deer are testing me now, not too bad, so far!

Does it seem to you, that this year is just melting away too quickly? The next Gallery Show Change is July 27th and 28th!

Fridays in June begin June 5th. Main Street has scheduled 9 Fridays this summer with musical entertainment and more in every block. We want to be a part of supporting them and selling our artwork! We chose our hours to be from 3-7. Thanks, if you have volunteered already, we must have two people to keep the Gallery. I would suggest parking on Kentucky Ave., for a quick escape…Broadway will be closed at 2:30. Liz is waiting for you to sign on…270-210-9790!

The next meeting is May 26th, 7:00, the Gallery. Diane has lined up Randy Simmons, professor at WKCTC, Speaking on “Survival Skills for Artists”. Randy is entertaining and informative…you will remember him for sharing charcoal painting. The Challenge is “Painting of a Bicycle”, for June, “Painting Celebrating Our 250th Birthday”. By the way…your Toothbrush paintings were wonderful!

Linda Thomasson really dazzled us with color, in her Featured Artist Show! Tom Descano will be featured in June.

Ryan Robertson and Chad McLaren made us proud with their booths at the Lowertown Art Fair AND, it was profitable for them!! Their next collaboration is May, 23, 6:30-9:30, at the Focus Bldg. on Ky Ave, across from 1857 Hotel and next to Allen Music on Ky. Ave. The show is “ Blurred Reality“, lets be there, for them.

Billie D Shoemate shared that he is transitioning to being a full time artist! These are bold moves…let’s support him too! He was approached by the pastor at Fremont Baptist, church destroyed by a tornado, a year or more ago, with an interesting offer for artists…he will share details at the meeting.

When I have a maintenance issue at the Gallery, especially when it comes to plumbing, I reach out to Mark Cope! He is something of an expert in those areas…so important to us! Be sure to give a big thank you!

As Memorial Day approaches, take time, with gratitude to remember all those giving their lives that our freedom might reign! However you celebrate, have fun and be safe.

Linda Thomasson and Carol Hudson have refreshments for the meeting.

Thanks, for another awesome Gallery Show! As always, thank you for all you do for PAPA.
