I love color but initially I had no understanding of how it works, so I began my artistic endeavor as a pen and ink artist when I was about 18 years old. It wasn’t until I was 28 years old and I attended the University of Arkansas that I met the professor, Leo Davis, that I truly began the process of understanding the amazing world of color.
Since that time I have experimented with all different kinds of medium, such as watercolor, color pencil, pastel, acrylic but focused more on watercolor. I am a graphic designer and also a photographer. I like to mix the photos I take with paintings I have created for them to create illusions.
Now, my art is all about color. It is rare that I have something specific in mind when I begin a piece. I listen to music when I create a painting and the piece evolves at will with lots of manipulation by me. I use watercolor straight out of the tube and let the colors mix and blend together by themselves.
