Perhaps there’s a spot on a familiar road that always pulls your eye to it. And no matter how often you pass it, you enjoy the view of that skyline every single time. The challenge this month for PAPA painters was to paint a skyline. Our challenge wall is covered with all kinds of skylines from urban to natural and realistic to imaginary. Artist Paula Clark Trojahn created “Villagescape” and left us to determine what exactly draws us in to her world with the neat little buildings next to the sky.
Ryan Robertson gave us a great featured exhibit last month and one of those paintings was also voted People’s Choice. It seems everyone was a bit carried away by his painting, “Floods.” See why it was voted in while you’re here.
During this glorious sunny weather, wander downtown and stop in to see which painting reminds you of your favorite skyline. Maybe one of them will go home with you as a permanent reminder of the view that makes you smile. Come in and simply enjoy art with us for a while. We hope to see you soon!
