From the stark contrast of black and white to straight and curvy lines to free flowing colorful abstract shapes, our featured artist creates compelling paintings across a wide spectrum. PAPA artist Joyce Ray shares many of her visions with us in her special featured artist exhibit this month. You can see her ability to use simple lines to convey beauty in the natural world using only black on white in this painting, “Beauty in Nature.” Her works on display include multiple mediums and styles, and reveal a natural curiosity as she depicts expected and unexpected images whenever she discovers interesting ones. Her works may draw you in to examine beyond a cursory glance to see the multiple layers often contained in her designs.
