In answer to our monthly challenge, we produced more “Doors” than Monty Hall! PAPA artist Chad Nelson provides a spooky seasonal mystery for us in his painting simply titled “Door.” It appears the entrance in the tree forms a barrier between us and something, but what is the something? You might surmise the glowing portends some kind of energy. We’re not certain though if the large figure is holding it back or beckoning it to enter our realm. And whether either of those options is good or bad is left to us to decide. It’s the kind of Halloween story that makes you curious but also want to squeal in delightful terror!
We truly have a fascinating collection of doors for you to ponder on our special Challenge Wall this month. This one may be scary, but there are other more inviting doors to view and imagine walking through. Come journey with us through the artist’s doors to your own imagination. We love to simply enjoy art with you!
