You can easily imagine the sounds of “ahh” coming from this trio as they enjoy a moment of respite. PAPA artist Mark Ray shared this glimpse of avian activity in our current People’s Choice selection, “Cool Drink.” Mark provides a feast for the senses if you pause just a moment to imagine. The bright green grasses seem to be gently rustling in a quiet breeze briefly interrupted by slow drips from the spout. The busy birds are singing their unique songs as they go about building nests or feeding hungry mouths. The deep blue of the water covered in ripples tempts us to dip in a finger. You can almost feel the delight of the coolness enveloping your skin and the smoothness as you touch the inside of the barrel. We can tell the sun is shining from the bright highlights and you may find yourself wanting to just lay down in the soft grass to soak it all in.
