Happy Spring!  Some days have actually felt hot, like summer, but this change is welcomed, after a cold winter!

Speaking of “hot”…this a great word describing our sales, this month!  Congrats to Ryan and Billie D., for two impressive sales, and to Brenda for selling so much of her Featured  Artist Show!  Actually, there have been many sales of your work in this a normally slow time!  Congrats, and thank you for your excellent paintings!

With the coming of April, our thoughts turn to the invasion of Quilters, for the annual AQS Quilt Show, beginning the 22nd.  Our favorite Quilter, Suzanne Alexander, will be hanging her special exhibit, Mar.30th.  Her works of art are enjoyed by all of our guests and members.  We will be also be displaying an antique family quilt from Julie Brigance’s family.  Then, is the “Show Within a Show”, of Miniatures, depicting Quilting or Paducah related subjects.  Please bring 4 minis, including on the back, your name, painting name, medium and price.  Bring these paintings to the meeting, or leave them on the counter in the back.  Vickie Gingrich will have her Quilted Bags, and Suzanne, a few Quilted Cards. One more thing, your minis, may be included in the new Gallery Show.  Plein Air Painters are always welcome, anytime!

The next Gallery Show Change is April 27th and 28th.  As always, 4 framed, 4 unframed, 7 minis, and 8 cards.

March 31st, 7:00 at the Gallery, is our monthly meeting.  Diane will continue with the study of “Color Harmonies”.  The Challenge is “Painting of Something Yellow”.  Challenge for April is “Painting Done with a Toothbrush”! Chad Nelson is Featured Artist for April. Thanks to Brenda for her well received Show!

A special welcome to new member Ann Beckett, neighbor and friend of Lou Tillson.  Please introduce yourself and get to know her.

Following an inspection by Paducah Fire Department, we have had to make a few changes!  We have a fresh Fire Extinguisher, batteries in emergency lighting replaced, only grounded extension cords can be used, a sign on the closet locating the Electrical Panel, must remain, we appreciate their efforts, keeping us safe while inside the Gallery.

Julie bought a new trash can and Vera donated tasteful chair cushions!  Now the challenge for you, will to keep them paint free!

     BOARD MEETING, March 31st, 6:00.

I almost forgot to say thanks, to Charles and Mark Cope for putting wheels on our storage shelves.  Prep for the McMurray-Livingston Party will be easier for them and us!!!

Much to do… As always, thank you, for all you do for PAPA!
