Tommy Fletcher

I have been a life-long Paducahan that has become a full time artist since retiring as a Chemistry teacher and coach from Heath High School.

My interest in art began in 1995 when I picked up my dad’s old airbrush. Before long, I was doing commission airbrush portraits.  My preferred medium is oil and favorite subject is people, even though I do a variety of subjects with almost every medium.

My style is contemporary realism with lots of vivid color.  It is so much fun painting loosely and making subtle colors explode on the canvas.

I have been so blessed in my art career since retirement as a teacher. I have won 6 Best of Shows and 4 second places in Western Kentucky art contests.  Most recently, first place in the Yeiser Members’ Show in Dec. of ’15.
