I began painting in 1975 when my uncle loaned me some paint and brushes. What fun!

Recently, I have been painting the local scenery and businesses of Paducah. I enjoy catching folks as they are enjoying themselves; my personal favorite is using the evening light.

My art work hangs in many private collections and public places around the country. I have several paintings hanging at
Shawnee Community College, Ullin, IL. I have taught adult education art classes for SCC. I am very happy to be a member of Paducah Area Painter’s Alliance (PAPA) since 2004 and am presently on the board.

I’ve won the Illinois Arts-in-Architecture program three times. I have won awards in the annual Paducah Women’s Club Art Show. Also, I have been spotlighted in several magazines and newspapers, as well as a featured artist for the Carson Center. My work can been seen at the PAPA Gallery, 124 Broadway; and at The Right Angle, 4645 Village Square Drive – both in Paducah, KY.

Presently, I live in Karnak, Illinois, with my wife, Gae.  We are both retired and enjoy traveling, taking photos, being involved at our local church and Walk to Emmaus.  We have two grown children of whom we are very proud. Our newest additions are two grandchildren, they keep us on the road to Texas.
