Exhibiting Your Work:
Every three months a new show is hung with new paintings. Members may enter a previously hung painting that has been out of the gallery for at least two shows (six months). Paintings may be for sale. They should be priced to include a 35% PAPA donation. Proceeds from painting sales help support the Gallery. When you become a member you are eligible to hang your paintings in the next scheduled show. Members with paintings in the show must agree to work at the gallery a minimum of 3 days during the 3 month period. All new paintings must be brought in at the show change and picked up at end of show.
Show Entry Rules:
We have quite a few new members since the last show went up. This show will be for three months. (August, September and October). Your entries must not have been shown in the gallery for 6 months (two shows). No new entries allowed after show opens.
1. All paintings must have the following information on the back:
- NAME
- ADDRESS
- NAME OF PAINTING
- PRICE IF ANY
- MEDIUM
2. All framed work must be ready to hang with wire hangers.
3. The limits are:
- 3 FRAMED
- 6 MINIATURES (OUTSIDE FRAME MEASUREMENTS NO MORE THAN 6x8)
- 4 UNFRAMED
4. All unframed work must be for sale. Unframed can be shrink wrapped or unframed canvas. DO NOT PUT ANY HARDWARE ON UNFRAMED WORK but put some type of protection over prints or matted work.
5. Reproductions need to be clearly labeled on the back as to what kind it is. Example: photo copy, computer print, Giclee Etc.
6. Don’t forget to add in the 35% donation to PAPA in the price of your work.
7. Gallery wrapped canvas paintings are also accepted as framed. No hardware can be showing and all edges must be painted as part of the overall painting.
IF THE ABOVE GUIDELINES ARE NOT FOLLOWED, YOUR ARTWORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THE SHOW.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR WORK AT THE GALLERY WITHOUT FILLING OUT THE CORRECT FORMS AND MAKING SURE THAT ALL THINGS LISTED ABOVE ARE DONE. SOMEONE WILL BE AT THE GALLERY FROM 10:00AM UNTIL MEETING TIME TO ACCEPT YOUR WORK THE DAY OF THE MEETING. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PAINTINGS UNLESS SOMEONE CHECKS THEM IN. OTHERWISE BRING YOUR ENTRIES TO THE MEETING.
WHEN YOU ENTER YOUR WORK YOU MUST SIGN UP FOR TWO DAYS TO KEEP THE GALLERY OPEN IN THE NEXT THREE MONTHS FOR THIS SHOW.
