GUIDELINES FOR NEW SHOW
When your work is entered into the gallery show you will need to sign up
to keep the gallery 2 days during this show. This show will run March
and April only. Some of you have already helped us out by staying during
February since we didn’t have a calendar in place for this month. Those
days will count in your favor for this show but we may need you to stay
another time this show. If we do someone, probably Noraine will call you
to see if you can. MY THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT DID STAY DURING FEBRUARY

Exhibiting Your Work
PAPA hangs a new show every three months. The shows cover the periods of February, March and April; May, June and July; August, September and October; and November, December and January. New members are eligible to exhibit their paintings in the next scheduled show. Paintings for sale shall be priced to include a 35% PAPA donation, proceeds from which help support the Gallery. Members with paintings in the show must agree to work at the Gallery a minimum of two days during the three-month period. Entries must not have been shown in the Gallery in the previous six months (two shows). Any entries that sell may be replaced during the show by a similar entry.
Show Entry Rules
1. All paintings must have the following information on the back:
- Member Name
- Address
- Name of Painting
- Price (if any)
- Medium
2. All framed work must be ready to hang with wire hangers. (Saw tooth hangers not permitted)
3. Members are limited to the following numbers of paintings:
- 3 Framed
- 6 Miniatures with outside dimensions no more than 6”X8”
- 4 Unframed with outside dimensions no more than 24”X18”
4. All unframed work must be for sale and may be shrink wrapped or unframed canvas without any hardware. Prints or matted work should be provided with some type of protection.
5. Reproductions must be clearly labeled on the back as to kind of reproduction such as photocopy, computer print, Giclee, etc.
6. Gallery wrapped canvas paintings are considered framed. No hardware or staples may be showing and all edges must be painted.
7. Each member’s entries must be complete with a filled out PAPA entry form. For your convenience, a down-loadable form is included here.
8. Entries should be delivered to the Gallery, along with a properly filled out Entry Form, between the hours of 10:00 AM and meeting time on the day of the regular PAPA meeting. Do not leave the entries until they have been checked in.
Remember, this is a volunteer organization. The hanging of the show, printing of show cards, disbursement of proceeds, and show check-in is done by volunteers. Be a good member and bring your entries early with the Entry Form legibly filled out. Don’t wait till the last minute!
