"Spring Sunshine" by Diane Bay
Three PAPA artists were honored in a special exhibition containing a selection of favorite artworks from throughout the area at the Ice House Gallery during the month of March. It was a mix of works by Randy Simmons, John McLaren, Ellis Wilson, Helen LaFrance, Bob Head, Jennifer Fairbanks, Wayne Bates, Ben Walker, Tommy Fletcher, Mel Garbark, and Lou Anne Philpot .

PAPA water colorists excelled in the Water Color category. First place went to Betty Martyn with "Wetlands"; Maryann Huebschmann earned second place with "Hen Party" and third place went to Joyce Ray for "A Haven of Rest".

Anne Strawn won the prize for best theme interpretation at the Immanuel Baptist Church's exhibition, The Miracle and Mystery of Christmas, with her entry, "The Universe Speaks to Those Who Listen."
Joyce Ray brought home the Best in Show award from the Religious Art exhibition at the Ice House in Mayfield Ky.

Two PAPA members won top honors at the annual Paducah Dogwood Art competition.
Diane Bay brought home first place and Jenny Fuller was awarded second prize.

Anne Strawn was featured in a show at the Harrisburg, IL Public Library entitled, “Storytelling in Color”. Her painting, Totems, Circles and Painted Turtles is shown here.
In the Professional category, Jenny Fuller earned first place with "Friend Vera" and John Duncan McLaren earned third place with "Sugar and Spice".

Impressions Art Show 2019
Two PAPA painters were recognized for awards among the many talented artists entered in the Ice House Gallery's annual exhibition. John Duncan McLaren earned 2nd Place in Painting. From the Juror's notes, "I was impressed by both the technique and composition of John McLaren's Undone. The figure and bedding group is placed below the center of the painting, anchoring the work and making the subject matter more private and personal."
Tommy Fletcher's painting, Forgiveness, earned honorable mention.
